thinking

It was raining. The day was so miserable, frustrated and tired.Bad news and some personal feelings...I have been doing a lot of thinking.I wanted so much to escape from this tiring and bored world to a whole new problemless world...There is always something behind everything.
1.In every moment you may not know what is happening, you may not know what is the fellow thinking? Is the fellow telling you the truth? Or is he/she lying? Can you believe them?
2.People always want to get attention.Because of this reason, they may actually hurt or cheated you. They may even betrayed you.life is unfair
3.feelings.They said that a human being has the most feelings in the world.I agree...too much until it will really hurt someone...
4.i made a really big mistake...
i really hope everything in this world will vanish and start all over again...

we call it 'life'

Some people said that life is fair, some people said that life is unfair...What actually is life?I don't really understand the meaning of life...does it mean that we have to get through all those difficulties, betray, non-satisfaction, jealousy, selfishness, failure...or does it mean success, satisfaction, freedom, independent, strong, encouraging, peaceful, problemless...why can't we just have a normal and simple life?I realized that actually everybody at every moment really need everyone's support and encouragement. They will feel much better after having your truly support. They may be having some problems that you don't know so do encourage them in a right way.Everybody deserves a chance and opportunity.Everybody hopes to get attention too so please treat everyone by your side fair and square...

p.s. please smile, support and encourage your friends by your side...everybody deserves a chance...

Happy Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

-JASON-

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y

What are Saturdays for!!!It should be a day for us to rest and relax. But mine is opposite. I woke up at 6 and went for my KRS activity. We have this physical training today. Wow...comander crawl, fireman carry, sit up, bumping. Then, I went for my drama practice at 11 am. I wanted so much to sleep because there is air-conditioner there. So nice...Around 1.30, I rushed back for my interview session for AJK. I found out that I will be the last so I don't really felt worried and nervous. I went to 7-eleven with Weng Ming to grab some food while waiting for my turn. I was trying to sketch some plants too...it doesn't seem really nice. Never mind...it's just for fun. I was texting with Charles while waiting for my turn. Thanks for accompany me. Finally, its my turn. When I went in, I hormat and lapor. Jeng Mey left after my first few questions. So only left Su Yi there asking and Kok Sheng there watching. She asked me dozens of questions...but I don't really remember it..only a few I can...you can ask me personally if you want to know. Then, we waited Sui Lun at the room...We went to the girl guides night gathering...its ok...Weng Ming said that we will organize a KRS night gathering next year, can't wait for that...we have dancing, games, boys, girls, music that night. ( pictures will be post later )I went back home around 11.30 and went for supper. Bathe. Turned off my lights.

Miss Chan...

After teaching us for 10 weeks, finally its time for Miss Chan to leave. Miss Chan is a wonderful trainee teacher. She taught us Mathematics. She wrote us a letter before she left.

To 2A4

Pn.Lim Yoke Keng

Yesterday was Pn.Lim Yoke Keng's retirement day. She was used to be one of the teachers in our school. She holds the penolong hal ehwal murid place. Although I don't know much about her, I knew that she is a very strict teacher. She wanted everything in our school to be perfect. She hopes that CHS students can always be perfect in academic, sports, co-curriculum and attitude. She works for 13 years in our school. Students perfomed in the retirement party. They sang "you are not alone, (zhi shao hai you ni), (wen bie), hero, and (zhu fu). We wish you happy, wealthy and healthy. All the best to you Pn.Lim, we love you. Happy Retirement!!!

Dedicated for you...

You Are Not Alone lyrics

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone...

Sunday - Final Day

Today was the last day of the camp. We woke up early this morning for our ujian kecergasan. We run to Taman Jaya. I got a cold last night for not putting on my jacket. It rained heavily last night ( I guess ). I was carried by three girls ( Charmaine, Sing Yee, Yi Xin) for one of the test. I slept on their shoulder, it was so comfortable. Then, we went back to our campsite to clean up everything while waiting for the others to finish their exams. Finally, its breakfast time...We have our last test - teori test for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It's quite easy, you can find all the answers in the paper. I finished my paper quite early and the seniors all came around me and looked at my answers. Some were laughing, some were so serious...I got to eat some snacks during that exam. Thx to the ex-senior who likes to draw during exam. We continued packing our bags and cleaning our campsite. The time has come for closing ceremony...
Best boy chadet - Tan Jia Yuen
Best girl chadet - Pamela Wan
Best marching - Lim Xin Yin
Then, it was time to annouce those who passed the lans koperal test.
Lim Xin Yin, Rebecca, Hui Teng, Rui Zhi, Pamela, Yet Jun, Mindy, Hui Koon, Charmaine, Woon Ying, Bernard
Congrats !!!
Suddenly, JJ came out to talk something...
He invited Fong Jes Cee, Celine Ting, Ng Weng Ming, Wong Yip Chee and Lim Xin Yin out. He said that they passed their koperal test and congrats them. Our president, Lim Sui Lun also said something important - don't forget what you had learn in your test and try harder to improve and learn more. We sang lagu Ilmu Iman Amal and we all may dismissed. I quicky ran to Mr.Guna and hugged him. He was so surprised and shocked too...then I thanked everybody who taught me...I want to thank you guys again here. Without you guys, there is no me...
Thanks
Mr. Guna, Charles, JJ, Pooi Guan, Wilson, Christabel, Sui un, Su Yi, Kok Sheng, Qi Hui, Jeng Mey, Yew Ho, Yip Chee, Weng Ming, Celine, Jes Cee, Tian Yong, Twan Ting, the ex-senior who shared me his junk food and many many more. Thank you for your supporting and teaching...

Second Day

We woke up around 7 this morning and we have exercise at tapak. After that, we have some marching practice. We revised some basic skills and commands. Finally, its breakfast time. I had waited for so long...After breakfast, its marching again, compass and tali lesson. Then, its EXAM time. My first station was orientasi, I got 7 for that, not happy about the result at all. Next, Rebecca and I went to perkhemahan. We were supposed to built an A tent within 10 minutes but we left out two more flying sheet holes haven't pancang yet...because of the scouts. they ruined our tent twice, at first I really don't want to give their ball back because they knocked down our tent...but then I still returned the ball back to them. I got 8 for this station, although it wasn't very good but still glad I improved this year. Next was kebombaan. My exam card flew away while I was waiting for my turn. I tried to get it as it flew to the roof but then it flew away again. I saw Wilson and Christabel so I asked for their help. We searched everywhere on the roof but we still can't find it. Finally, Wilson saw something white on the ground. Yes, that's my paper...thank you so much both of you...After bomba and komunikasi, I have tali-temali. Well, I am not really satisfied with the result. I felt so panicked and nervous when I get to this section. Its not I don't know, its just that the time factor. He was not the only one who felt dissapointed, I felt that too...I hardly can talk at that moment...but I have to continue my next exam...so I try to boost myself up again and don't think about it for that moment. I finished alam sekitar, ikhtiar hidup and pertolongan cemas. I was so happy that I knew all the balut...haha..thx Mr.Guna. Marching exam...it was okay...it was a relieved that I remember hukum doa masuk...Malam kebudayaan, well I got gastric during this session so I guess I don't really enjoyed it...but I really enjoyed watching all those dramas...Thx Mr.Bean group members for acting such a wonderful drama. I enjoyed it...

Kem Pertauliahan 2009 - First Day

Last Friday, I took part in our school kem pertauliahan KRS 2009. Many ex-seniors came back, Chun Yi, JJ, Pooi Guan, Christabel and Wilson. I even met one of my Taman Sea's student, my primary school friend. We started at 7 in the evening. Mr. Guna and Weng Ming gave a short and brief opening ceremony. We were arranged accordingly into four groups that evening and we have dinner together that night. After dinner, we have tali-temali lessons and pertolongan cemas lesson. While learning, I saw Mr. Guna talking to the ex-seniors so happily. They were like BEST FRIEND, Mr.Guna told me that they are talking about JJ's girlfriend. HAHA. Late that night, we have to think of a group name and we chose Mr.Bean as our group name. Rebecca, Hui Teng, Yi Xin, Woon Ying, Jacob, Zhao Ming, Yet Jun, Jeffery were in a same group with me. Then, we all were forced to sleep without shower that night. Cik Ashikin joined us. Wow, we were a bunch of smelly kids sleeping in a tent and I think she is the only one who showered that night in our tent. I don't know how she can bear it...hehe. Of course, we did not sleep soundly that night because we have to crawl up from our tent around two to three for operasi Burung Hantu. I don't really think that it is scary...instead I thought it was funny. Hui Teng and I were in a group. We were asked to search for "m" in three places. We found it on the floor near bilik sembahyang and I tore the paper out. Then, I found out that we should actually sit down there and wait and we quickly went back there. We sat there and while I almost going to close my eyes I saw a zombie walking around the street. He was so funny and silly. He dropped to the floor for several times before trying to reach for me. When he stood next to me, I pushed his head away and he fell down again. I was laughing at that moment and he quickly pull down his shirt and put on his glasses. He is Yew Ho. He wanted me to keep it as a secret and don't tell anybody, then he continued his zombie journey. There were a lots of flies and mosquitoes there. I think they really enjoyed their night for having such a good supper. Fter this tiring activity, we all went back to our tent and sleep.

Last day of teaching us...

Today is the last day you can find him in the afternoon session, seating at the canteen with a troupe of students during lunchtime, talking and teasing the students as he wanted. He is Mr. Guna. He is going to the morning session tomorrow onwards. At first, I saw my friend Janani and Khai Sin. Their eyes were so watery and suddenly a few drops of tears came out from their eyes. I talked to Mr. Guna while having my rojak during lunch and I felt that I wanted to cry too...I quickly get out of the place and went to Rebecca. I can't control my tears as it was running as fast as a lightning from my eyes. Actually, I shouldn't cry but to think of it Mr. Guna is like our second father in the school. He has his own style. He has a very mishievous yet matured attitude. He likes to play with students, joke around with them, talk as though they were his good friend. Although he sounds childish, but he still manage to make us respect him. He is fulled with knowledge, he looks smart in his KRS uniform, he looks hot when he is smiling( he always smile), he is the HAPPY-GO-LUCKY type. Some also said he is SEXY. I feel proud to have a teacher like him. Mr. Guna, you are always our best teacher in our heart. Bye teacher, sincerely hope that you will always be happy...

Impossible is nothing

A Poem

This is a poem written by a friend of mine to a friend of mine. I thought its nice so I wanted to share with everyone.

Many times I've heard about him from his silent obsesser.
Always positive, with inhumanely possible features.
Ridiculously perfect for a boy of sixteen.
Compared to an angel his supposed to be god.
Unseen of, only tales from his personal stalker.
Strangely this stranger intrigues me even more.

Vampire Kisses

Wow! I have been reading a book named ' vampire kisses' wrote by Ellen Schreiber lately. This is a totally awesome book. What I can say about the book is that she is a wonderful writer. The story is about : The mansion on top of Benson Hill has been empty and boarded up for years. But a new family has moved in. A family that never ventures out during the day. Who are these creepy people-especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town gossip actually be true? Are they vampires? Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander's loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth.
Raven Madison - a gothic girl who always wear BLACK and wanted to be a vampire since kindergarten
Alexander Sterling - a gothic handsome, intelligent, funny vampire guy

michael jackson

- King of Pop -

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he made his debut onto the professional music scene in 1968 at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5. He then began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the "King of Pop"[2] in subsequent years, his 1982 album Thriller remains the world's best-selling album of all time[3] and four of his other solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995).

In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African Americancrossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videosBeat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller"—widely credited with transforming the music video from a promotional tool into an art form—helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists across several generations. entertainer to amass a strong airing on MTV, such as "

Jackson donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his foundations, charity singles, and support of 39 charities. Other aspects of his personal life, including his often changing appearances and eccentric behavior, generated significant controversy which damaged his public image. Though he was accused of child sexual abuse in 1993, the criminal investigation was closed due to lack of evidence and Jackson was not charged. The singer had experienced health concerns since the early 1990s and conflicting reports regarding the state of his finances since the late 1990s. Jackson married twice and fathered three children, actions which caused further controversy. In 2005, Jackson was tried and acquitted of further sexual abuse allegations and several other charges.

One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career, and the sale of 750 million records worldwide.[4] At the time of his death, he was preparing for This Is It, a series of 50 concerts that would have been held in London beginning July 13, 2009.[5]

- Flying Off -

It was Thursday, the day when my friend Cheah Wan Li went to England. She went there with her family to attend her eldest sister's graduation ceremony. She is also going for a month vacation in England and some other countries. How good it be to visit other country so freely and so enjoying...Her brother came and picked her up that day and she left before recess. She will not be attending school for one whole month. I would really missed her... Don't know what she is doing now? Perhaps enjoying her trip with her family and met some friends there. It's been years since I have the opportunity to go overseas. I really like to go for vacation, visiting those countries, understanding the histories and myths there. Having a chance to try their well-known food, taking some pictures...I promised that after I come out to work and have enough money next time, I will definitely bring my family and I go overseas and have a sweet time there.

H1N1

Influenza A virus subtype H1N1, also known as A(H1N1), is a subtype of influenzavirus A and the most common cause of influenza (flu) in humans. Some strains of H1N1 are endemic in humans and cause a small fraction of all influenza-like illness and a large fraction of all seasonal influenza. H1N1 strains caused roughly half of all human flu infections in 2006.[1] Other strains of H1N1 are endemic in pigs (swine influenza) and in birds (avian influenza).

In June 2009, WHO declared that flu due to a new strain of swine-origin H1N1 was responsible for the 2009 flu pandemic. This strain is commonly called "swine flu".

nfluenza, commonly referred to as the flu, is an infectious disease caused by RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae (the influenza viruses), that affects birds and mammals. The name influenza comes from the Italian influenza, meaning "influence" (Latin: influentia). The most common symptoms of the disease are chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, weakness and general discomfort.[1] Fever and coughs are the most frequent symptoms. In more serious cases, influenza causes pneumonia, which can be fatal, particularly for the young and the elderly. Although it is often confused with other influenza-like illnesses, especially the common cold, influenza is a much more severe disease than the common cold and is caused by a different type of virus.[2] Influenza may produce nausea and vomiting, particularly in children,[1] but these symptoms are more common in the unrelated gastroenteritis, which is sometimes called "stomach flu" or "24-hour flu".[3]

Typically, influenza is transmitted through the air by coughs or sneezes, creating aerosols containing the virus. Influenza can also be transmitted by bird droppings, saliva, nasal secretions, feces and blood. Infection can also occur through contact with these body fluids or through contact with contaminated surfaces. Airborne aerosols have been thought to cause most infections, although which means of transmission is most important is not absolutely clear. Influenza viruses can be inactivated by sunlight, disinfectants and detergents.[4][5] As the virus can be inactivated by soap, frequent hand washing reduces the risk of infection.

Influenza spreads around the world in seasonal epidemics, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands annually — millions in pandemic years. Three influenza pandemics occurred in the 20th century and killed tens of millions of people, with each of these pandemics being caused by the appearance of a new strain of the virus in humans. Often, these new strains appear when an existing flu virus spreads to humans from other animal species, or when an existing human strain picks up new genes from a virus that usually infects birds or pigs. An avian strain named H5N1 raised the concern of a new influenza pandemic, after it emerged in Asia in the 1990s, but it has not evolved to a form that spreads easily between people.[6] In April 2009 a novel flu strain evolved that combined genes from human, pig, and bird flu, initially dubbed "swine flu", emerged in Mexico, the United States, and several other nations. WHO officially declared the outbreak to be a "pandemic" on June 11, 2009.

Vaccinations against influenza are usually given to people in developed countries [7] and to farmed poultry.[8] The most common human vaccine is the trivalent influenza vaccine (TIV) that contains purified and inactivated material from three viral strains. Typically, this vaccine includes material from two influenza A virus subtypes and one influenza B virus strain.[9] The TIV carries no risk of transmitting the disease, and it has very low reactivity. A vaccine formulated for one year may be ineffective in the following year, since the influenza virus evolves rapidly, and new strains quickly replace the older ones. Antiviral drugs can be used to treat influenza, with neuraminidase inhibitors being particularly effective.

Treatments for influenza include a range of medications and therapies that are used in response to disease influenza. Treatments may either directly target the influenza virus itself; or instead they may just offer relief to symptoms of the disease, while the body's own immune system works to recover from infection.[1]

The two main classes of antiviral drugs used against influenza are neuraminidase inhibitors, such as zanamivir and oseltamivir, or inhibitors of the viral M2 protein, such as amantadine and rimantadine. These drugs can reduce the severity of symptoms if taken soon after infection and can also be taken to decrease the risk of infection. However, viral stains have emerged that show drug resistance to both classes of drug.

The United States authority on disease prevention, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recommends that persons suffering from influenza infections:

  • Stay at home
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Drink a lot of liquids
  • Do not smoke or drink alcohol
  • Consider over-the-counter medications to relieve flu symptoms
  • Consult a doctor early on for best possible treatment
  • Remain alert for emergency warning signs[2]

Warning signs are symptoms that indicate that the disease is becoming serious and needs immediate medical attention. These include:

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen
  • Dizziness
  • Confusion
  • Severe or persistent vomiting

In children other warning signs include irritability, failing to wake up and interact, rapid breathing, and a blueish skin color. Another warning sign in children is if the flu symptoms appear to resolve, but then reappear with fever and a bad cough.[2]

Symptoms of influenza can start quite suddenly one to two days after infection. Usually the first symptoms are chills or a chilly sensation, but fever is also common early in the infection, with body temperatures ranging from 38-39 °C (approximately 100-103 °F).[45] Many people are so ill that they are confined to bed for several days, with aches and pains throughout their bodies, which are worse in their backs and legs.[1] Symptoms of influenza may include:

  • Body aches, especially joints and throat
  • Extreme coldness and fever
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Irritated watering eyes
  • Reddened eyes, skin (especially face), mouth, throat and nose
  • Abdominal pain (in children with influenza B)[46]

It can be difficult to distinguish between the common cold and influenza in the early stages of these infections,[2] but a flu can be identified by a high fever with a sudden onset and extreme fatigue. Diarrhea is not normally a symptom of influenza in adults,[44] although it has been seen in some human cases of the H5N1 "bird flu"[47] and can be a symptom in children.[48] The symptoms most reliably seen in influenza are shown in the table to the right.[44]

Most sensitive symptoms for diagnosing influenza[44]
Symptom: sensitivity specificity
Fever 68-86% 25-73%
Cough 84-98% 7-29%
Nasal congestion 68–91% 19–41%

Notes to table:

  • The ranges given represent different studies that were reviewed.
  • Sensitivity is the proportion of people having influenza who exhibit the symptom.
  • Specificity is the proportion of people not having influenza who do not exhibit the symptom.
  • All three findings, especially fever, were less sensitive in patients over 60 years of age.

Since anti-viral drugs are effective in treating influenza if given early (see treatment section, below), it can be important to identify cases early. Of the symptoms listed above, the combinations of fever with cough, sore throat and/or nasal conjestion can improve diagnostic accuracy.[49] Two decision analysis studies[50][51] suggest that during local outbreaks of influenza, the prevalence will be over 70%,[51] and thus patients with any of these combinations of symptoms may be treated with neuramidase inhibitors without testing. Even in the absence of a local outbreak, treatment may be justified in the elderly during the influenza season as long as the prevalence is over 15%.[51]

The available laboratory tests for influenza continue to improve. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) maintains an up-to-date summary of available laboratory tests.[52] According to the CDC, rapid diagnostic tests have a sensitivity of 70–75% and specificity of 90–95% when compared with viral culture. These tests may be especially useful during the influenza season (prevalence=25%) but in the absence of a local outbreak, or peri-influenza season (prevalence=10%[51]).

Etiquette & Manners

You can hear that it is important to be polite with your teachers, greet them when you see them in everywhere, school, televisions, parents, religions and so on but have you ever do it?
I always thought that I did it but I had guess wrong. I was asked to find a friend from my teacher, Pn. Wan Noraizan at class 2B1. I went in and spoke to the teacher there.
"Hi, Mr.Collins. I want to find XXX."I said. He told me to repeat it again and he asked a girl to correct me. She told me to add in 'please' and the other girl said 'excuse me'. When I heard this, I realized that I had been speaking very rudely to the teacher. Then, the whole class laughed at me. At that moment, although I felt shy and embarrasing but I still thank the teacher for correcting me.
When I thought of it, I felt that I had lost my manners. This had been a very great lesson to me so that next time I speak to a teacher I should be more polite and remember to greet them. This lesson will always kept in my mind.
So, I hope that next time when you speak to a teacher remember to be polite and greet them.

Exam is OVER...

Wow...finally the seven days of exam is over. I felt so relaxed and yet still nervous to find out my score. I knew that I never did it well especially maths in this exam. I have to try harder and be well-prepared for the next exam. I have to know that I can't blame others for failure but to realize it by myself. It will definitely be hard and pain when you fell from the high up but as long as you continue to climb to the highest path any hardship will not even bother you. I kow that I can stand up from this small challenge and fight until the very end because I am who I am. I have prepared to know my results. I will accept it willingly and try harder for the next exam. I will never lose the spirit of FIGHTING.
